Danielle D'Souza, first-time author and daughter of Dinesh D'Souza was publishing her first book with Gospel Light / Regal Books.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
While I was working as a full-time designer with Gospel Light, a Christian book publisher in 2010, I was offered the opportunity to illustrate Danielle D'Souza's first book, YGod: An Intelligent Discussion on the Relevance of Faith. I was thrilled to take on the opportunity. Danielle and her father, Dinesh D'Souza, did an excellent job providing colorful descriptions for the 34 images they wanted placed in the book. My aim was to provide an airy'New Yorker-like' feel to the line-drawing illustrations.
With a young author seeking to engage a young audience, the author and publisher were looking to break up text with fun illustrations.
I provided 34 line drawing illustrations, inspired by great prompts from the author and the publishing team at Regal Books.
